Thancred isn't expecting such an admittance, and who would? It's quite the claim, that one is a god or anything like it, and yet he also can't see why Lucifer would have a reason to lie. He doesn't appear as anything more than a person, and yet it's not as if Thancred would have any means of sensing something different. ]
