[ As much as she tries to keep to herself in the later hours of the night and early hours of the morning, there's an immediate relief in hearing his fast reply. ]

[ This would hardly be Thancred's first bout of bad dreams that he's had to push through, and he's usually not one to share with others about it, preferring to keep those darker moments to himself.
But if Himeka's experiencing similar, then there's something to be said for commiserating. And now that they're conversing, he does have to wonder... ]
[ Ah...it's as she feared, then. It's seems rarer that they can spend time undisturbed by something strange happening with their connection to the Singularity, hasn't it?
Surely they are both individuals that could write it off as the sort of strange dreams that come with everything else they've dealt with up until this point. And yet her gut had told her isn't that. Thancred must feel the same. ]
[ Thancred heaves out a sigh that shifts the mattress beneath him as he stares at the shadowed ceiling overhead, where Himeka's messages are appearing. Still, he has to admit that having someone else to "talk to" is better than laying awake all night. He'd been halfway to flinging himself out of bed and finding somewhere in the castle to sit with his insomnia. ]
As if having to relive our memories wasn't enough, now there's this. I'm accustomed to pushing unpleasant dreams to the back of my mind, but these are different.
[ In this dark room, he can't shake the sensation of someone watching him, even though he knows he's alone. ]
[ Ah...misery does indeed love company, but it's still not something she would wish on a dear friend. Himeka sighs, slumping onto the table she's setting at. A midnight snack seemed like it may help but it's done little to ease her nerves. ]
∂σ үσυ тнιηк тнεү'яε cσηηεcтε∂?
[ Of course she DOES want the whole Echo thing to not...be related to her. At all. Thank you. ]
It's certainly possible. It sets a worrisome precedent for the Horizon and how it invades our minds. Which I suppose makes sense, given that we use our thoughts to create and influence things within it. I wonder if these effects will also fade in a week's time.
[ He makes a mental note to check in with Stephen to see if there have been any fluctuations with the Singularity which correspond with these strange dreams. ]
That was just before I arrived, was it not? In that case, you would have a better sense of there being some manner of sea change. If the Singularity continues to act up like this, there's no telling what might happen next.
I will check in with Stephen and see what readings he's received from it. At least we do have some means of monitoring it.
[ Which doesn't mean they can stop what's happening, but it's certainly better than nothing. ]
I must confess that when the exchange of memories first started, I almost wondered if it had something to do with the fact that myself, Stephen, and Yennefer were nearer to it than the Summoned generally are, in order to set up one of those devices. I eventually decided it must have been a coincidence, but now I do have to wonder if there's some connection, as you say.
I wonder if that is simply because we were brought here by means of the Singularity. Therefore, it recognizes us in a way that it wouldn't the native populace.
