If that is the case, it would be the first time such a thing has happened. The Summonings have only ever brought people in before, and in this case we don't even have a recent batch of new arrivals to correlate to the chocobo's sudden appearance.
Mine is much the same. There are any number of nasty creatures that could make life here that much more difficult, voidsent chief among them.
